- A Walk to the Ty Coch Inn at Porthdinllaen - www.tycoch.co.uk

- Welsh Highland Railway - www.whr.co.uk or something that is not on the whr website - the other end of the railway see - www.bangor.ac.uk/ml/whr where you will find great views (dog friendly too).

- Dwyfor Rabbit Farm - Criccieth - (01766) 523136
Visitors are welcome to the farm where they will see rabbits of various breeds and meet friendly farm animals such as ponies, lambs and kids. There is ample shelter on a rainy day as a large number of the rabbits are at home in farm buildings. Children are allowed to handle baby rabbits and sheepdog puppies, feed farmyard animals and poultry under supervision. Free pony-and-trap ride. Light refreshments available at the farmyard.

- Plas Yn Rhiw - National Trust owned historic house situated in an idyllic setting on Rhiw Mountain, overlooking Porth Neigwl. 01758 780219.

- Abersoch Lifeboat Station - open to the public every Thursday evening from 6.30pm.

- Plas Glyn-y-Weddw - gallery and arts centre in Llanbedrog. 01758 740763.

- Glasfryn Go Karts and Quadbikes - great fun - situated 4 miles from Pwllheli on the Caernarvon road. 01766 810202.

- Welsh Mountain Zoo - situated in Colwyn Bay. 01492 532938.

- Llechwedd Slate Caverns - 12 miles from Porthmadog - underground rides through the caverns! 01766 830306.

- Anglesey Sea Zoo - Brynsiencyn, Anglesey. Showing an abundance of sea water wildlife in specially constructed viewing tanks. 01248 430411.#

- Portmeirion Village and Gardens - The classic Italianate village and gardens by Clough Williams-Ellis. Setting for "The Prisoner" TV series. 01766 770000.

- Ffestiniog Railway - World famous narrow gauge railway runs from the sea at Porthmadog into the mountains at Blaenau Ffestiniog. 01766 512340.
