Abersoch RNLI New Years Dip 2010
Abersoch RNLI will be holding its annual Fancy Dress New Year's Day Dip on, guess when! - January 1st 2010… This year, thanks to all the brave souls who took a dip and the generosity of the 1000 or so spectators, the event raised a magnificent £11000. Next year will be even better!! The Fancy Dress theme is Wales (and all things Welsh) so put your thinking caps on. As always John Wormold of Totally Abersoch will be taking hundreds of photographs which will be available on the web. All Dippers will receive a commemorative medal and hot drinks. Sponsorship forms can be obtained from The South Caernarfon Yacht Club, The Lifeboat Souvenir Shop at the Lifeboat Station, Boardrider and Rip Girl or contact Clive Jenkins on creigirwen@tiscali.co.uk

Don't fancy dipping? No problem! Just come along and join the fun, shops, bars, restaurants and pubs will be open to start the New Year in great style! Date is easy to remember, time is 12 noon on Main Beach, but do not leave it to the last minute, it's going to be busy so allow time to park! See you then

Sat 31st Oct: Spooktacular Halloween Party at Manana
The Halloween Party is in aid of the charity CLIC Sargent. Manana will be open to kids of all ages from 2pm – 4pm on Saturday afternoon. There will be a kids disco, Halloween games, including Duck Apple and Nelson’s Remains, a pumpkin carving competition and much more. Look out for kids Halloween goodies and cocktails and prizes to be won for best costume. We do ask that you leave the pushchairs at home to maximise on space!
Entry is just £3 and ALL proceeds will go to the charity CLIC Sargent.
CLIC Sargent is an amazing charity that cares for children and young people with cancer both in hospital and in the community. They offer valuable support for patients and their families from specialist social workers to nurses, to providing accommodation close to hospitals for parents to be near their children as they undergo treatment. CLIS Sargent is the official charity for the London Marathon in 2010 and there will a number of people running for the cause.
Two people running are Georgie Battye and her boyfriend Ben Pilling who have been allocated the places through CLIC Sargent, the charity who have provided invaluable help to Georgie’s sister Ollie, who has been having treatment for a rare bone cancer since January. To learn a bit more about CLIC Sargent and the work that they do go to CLICK HERE and see Ollie's story and how CLIC Sargent have helped her and her family.
To help to raise money for such a good cause please come along to the party and show your support - even if you don't have any kids!!

Sat 19th Dec: Abersoch RNLI Christmas Fayre - 19th December:
A Christmas Fayre will be held at the Vaynol Arms on 19th December from 10.30 am until 12.30. There will be a Santas Grotto for the children plus much, much more. Pleae support this fun event!
