Marco Filippi and Jayne Edge who until July 2007 were the owners of Angelinas Restaurant, are currently refurbishing their new venture in the village, Venetia an Italian Restaurant with Rooms opening for the Summer season.

The location is the beautiful Victorian property formerly known as Tudor Court Hotel. Whilst retaining many of its original features the 30 seater restaurant, bar/lounge and five individually designed letting rooms will also have a distinctly contemporary feel.

Marco & Jayne hope to continue the long tradition established by Marco's family for freshly cooked authentic Italian dishes with warm, friendly and efficient service from the front of house team. Many of the recipes to be tasted at Venetia will have originated in Pantana the village in which Marco's father grew up.

Local seafood will feature highly on the menu at Venetia. Marco, who is a passionate fisherman, travelled to London as one of four finalists in the Seafish Seafood awards in the category of seafood chef of the year last year.

Marco will be joined in the kitchen by Stuart Hughes-Burton who spent the Winter landing backflips and cooking in Meribel and Jason Ellis who in January won the Rotary Club Young Chef of the year, North West Wales and will now progress to the next round with a chance to travel to Italy.

Jayne and Marco hope to provide a combination of good food, warm, friendly and efficient service in a relaxed atmosphere for your enjoyment.
